Silt Fence
At Temple Fork Site Services, we use silt fences as an essential part of our grading and landscaping projects. A silt fence is a temporary barrier made of geotextile fabric and stakes that slows stormwater runoff, traps sediment, and prevents erosion and off-site pollution.
We install silt fences around work areas and slopes before earth moving begins, trenching the fabric into the ground for stability. We inspect and maintain them throughout the project, removing accumulated sediment as needed. Once the site is stabilized with proper grading and landscaping, the silt fences are removed.
This practice helps us deliver clean, compliant results for both residential and commercial properties while protecting the environment.

Straw Matting
At Temple Fork Site Services, we use straw matting (also known as erosion control blankets) as an effective way to protect newly graded and seeded areas on both residential and commercial projects. Straw matting is a biodegradable blanket made of straw fibers held together by netting that is rolled out over prepared soil to reduce erosion, retain moisture, and help young grass establish strong roots.
We install it immediately after final grading, seeding, and fertilizing by securing the matting with stakes or pins so it stays in direct contact with the soil. This prevents washouts during heavy rains, minimizes sediment runoff, and creates a stable environment for seed germination. Once the grass is fully established, the straw matting naturally decomposes, leaving behind a healthy, vibrant lawn.
Using straw matting allows us to deliver reliable, erosion-free results while supporting long-term lawn success.
Rip-Rap & Rock Walls
At Temple Fork Site Services, we install rip-rap walls (also known as rock walls) to provide durable erosion control and slope stabilization for both residential and commercial properties as well as roads. Rip-rap consists of large, angular stones carefully placed to create a stable barrier that absorbs stormwater runoff, prevents soil erosion, and protects graded slopes and embankments from washouts.
We build rip-rap walls by properly shaping the slope, installing filter fabric, and placing the rock for maximum strength and longevity. This solution is ideal for properties needing reliable, long-term protection around foundations, driveways, hillsides, or any area prone to erosion.
Using quality materials and expert installation, we deliver strong, attractive, and low-maintenance rock walls that enhance property stability while blending naturally with the landscape.

Hydroseeding
At Temple Fork Site Services, we offer hydroseeding as an effective solution for establishing healthy lawns on residential and commercial properties. Hydroseeding is a fast spraying process that mixes premium grass seed, fertilizer, mulch, and water into a slurry and applies it evenly over prepared soil. This creates a protective layer that holds seed in place, retains moisture, reduces erosion, and promotes quick, uniform germination.
We use specialized hydroseeding equipment to cover large or hard-to-reach areas quickly and accurately after final grading. The result is faster establishment than traditional seeding, better coverage on slopes, and a lush, durable lawn with excellent root development.
Hydroseeding allows us to deliver beautiful, high-quality turf quickly and affordably while providing superior erosion control during the critical early growth stage.
Seeding & Strawing
At Temple Fork Site Services, we provide seeding and strawing as a reliable solution for establishing healthy lawns on residential and commercial properties. Traditional seeding involves evenly distributing premium grass seed blends over properly prepared and graded soil, followed by applying a protective layer of clean straw mulch. This combination helps hold the seed in place, retains essential moisture, reduces erosion, and creates ideal conditions for fast, uniform germination.
We carefully select grass varieties suited to local soil and climate, then finish the job with a thick, even straw covering to protect the seed from heavy rains and drying winds. Once the grass emerges and establishes strong roots, the straw naturally decomposes, leaving behind a lush, durable lawn.
Seeding and strawing allows us to deliver high quality results with excellent erosion control during the critical early growth stage.
